India Map Formed by Writing the Word INDIA
About the work
Dr. Darla Nageswara Rao created a map of India by writing the word “INDIA” repeatedly across a drawing sheet, using colour to mark state boundaries and a tricolour border.
Work began on Independence Day, 15 August 2010, and was completed as a prelude to Republic Day 2011. The piece combines patriotic theme with the discipline of Replica Art–style precision lettering.
