Mini Indian Flags
About the work
On Independence Day and Republic Day, small Indian flags are commonly pinned or stuck to shirts. Dr. Darla Nageswara Rao hand-drew mini flags at that familiar wearable size—distinct from later home-distribution flag paintings (see Mera Bharat Mahan).
He produced about 1,800 mini flags on 50 A3 sheets in 42 days, using watercolours for saffron and green bands and a blue gel pen for the Ashoka Chakra. The set was inaugurated on 15 August 2017 at a municipal school in Vijayawada.
