Holy Bible in Replica Art
About the work
Applying Replica Art to sacred printed text, Dr. Darla Nageswara Rao hand-copied Genesis and Exodus from the authorised King James Version—158 pages in a format that unfolds as a continuous ribbon and folds back into book form.
Roll sheets were joined so that fifty pages form one long strip. In recognition of this work, materials record an honorary research degree award in Handwritten Replica Art of the Holy Bible from United Theological Research University (ceremony noted on 28 May 2012).
